About CultureBus
CultureBus – Muni route 74X – is a brand new SFMTA bus route designed to provide both residents and visitors with a new eco-friendly transportation alternative to and between San Francisco's popular museums and cultural institutions.
Are the buses eco-friendly?
- Yes – all CultureBus buses run on biodiesel and some are diesel hybrids.
What are the hours of 74X CultureBus?
- 74X CultureBus runs daily from 8:40 a.m. to 5:50 p.m.
- 74X CultureBus will not run on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
How often does 74X CultureBus run?
- 74X CultureBus runs approximately every 20 minutes.
What's the duration of the route?
- 74X CultureBus will ride across town, from Market Street to Golden Gate Park, in approximately 30 minutes. Time between stops varies depending on distance and traffic.
Will there be information on each organization on the bus?
- Yes – flyers on all of the participating institutions will be available on CultureBus. Additionally, interior signage in the buses will indicate the CultureBus route and designated stops.
